Male alliances of military and fire department
Political interest groups and legal interventions
The sub-project researches how two male organizations (corporative actors) - military and fire department - implement European anti-discrimination law in organizational decrees, instructions and suggestions. The points are (1) which collective actors - interest groups and social groups - take part in this process, constitute themselves and how they refer to each other, (2) how law is changing in this process and (3) how that changes the practice of equal treatment. The project starts in 2000 with the Equal Treatment Directive of the European Union and shall include documentary analyses, media analyses, expert interviews in involved organizations and groups as well as case studies which consider the interaction between different actors.
